La Conférence des Nations Unies sur le commerce et le développement (CNUCED) a lancé aujourd'hui la Revue du transport maritime 2024 : Naviguer à travers les points de passage maritimes, qui aborde les vulnérabilités critiques des routes maritimes mondiales, y compris les canaux de Suez et de Panama.

Cela se situe entre 2025 et 2029, et le commerce conteneurisé devrait augmenter de 2,7 % à moyen terme. Et la perturbation de la mer Rouge a eu un impact significatif sur les tarifs des conteneurs. Bien que les tarifs aient baissé ces derniers mois, ils restent bien au-dessus des tarifs observés avant la pandémie de Covid-19, et cela est très préoccupant. Et surtout, les tarifs de fret élevés et volatils et l'incertitude qu'ils apportent au coût des affaires sont un frein important au commerce international. »
