1000 jours de guerre en Ukraine, l'hiver pose un défi crucial, déclare un haut responsable de l'aide
Près de 1 000 jours après l'invasion à grande échelle de l'Ukraine par la Russie, des milliers de civils ont été tués, l'infrastructure énergétique du pays est au bord du gouffre et les drones terrifient les communautés en première ligne, a déclaré vendredi le principal responsable de l'aide de l'ONU dans le pays.
Parlant à Genève, Matthias Schmale a décrit l'angoisse ressentie par les Ukrainiens alors que la guerre se prolonge : « Alors que nous approchons non seulement de l'hiver mais aussi du triste cap des 1 000 jours depuis l'invasion à grande échelle de la Fédération de Russie en 2022, nous pensons bien sûr aux plus de 12 000 personnes qui ont été tuées et aux près de 40 pour cent des personnes en Ukraine qui ont besoin d'une assistance humanitaire. »
